Services Offered (Products/Services):
Adolescent Residential Treatment and Therapuetic Group Home Services

Latte operates a group home and respite service that is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a
week. The day treatment center operates a flexible schedule to meet the needs of parents and
clients.

Latte programs target key behavioral, emotional and belief systems that prevent a person from
being able to safely function in their home, school and community. Identified mental health
concerns are addressed using management and therapy techniques known too effectively impact
behavior.
Latte strives to deliver its services in the most natural environment possible. The program's home
and school setting can be used to normalize social, emotional, and interpersonal experiences and
can provide better opportunities for transitioning home.

We believe that placement in a community-based treatment center can be more effective than
traditional hospital settings for reducing problem behaviors and enhancing growth in children and
youth. Whenever possible, institutional characteristics that may stigmatize children are avoided.

While treatment can be more successful in normalized settings, costs are usually lower.

Latte's Goals
…provide integrated mental health treatment services that prepare clients to move back to their
homes and communities as soon as is reasonably possible

…develop interpersonal relationships with clients that maximize growth while participating in a
Latte program

…teach clients the skills they need to more effectively function in their own home, school, and
community in an environment that most closely approximates naturally occurring situations

…build local capacity by training staff and families to implement an integrated program that
prevents the need for children to leave the island to receive care

…provide an environment where the sharing of confidential information will be treated with
respect and understanding.
